Question 2

What counts as an HVAC emergency in Arizona?

Accepted Answer

Losing air conditioning during extreme summer heat can be dangerous, especially for infants, older adults, people with medical conditions, and pets. Burning smells, smoke, or electrical sparking from equipment are also emergencies. If anyone shows signs of heat illness, call 911. Elite Pro Services is open 24/7 for urgent AC service.

Question 3

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Accepted Answer

Burst pipes, major leaks, sewage backups, a leaking water heater, and no water service are typically emergencies because damage spreads quickly. Shut off the main water valve to limit damage. If water reaches outlets or appliances, stay away from those areas. Elite Pro Services' plumbers are available 24/7 at (480) 788-7473.

Question 4

What counts as an electrical emergency?

Accepted Answer

Burning smells, smoke, sparking outlets, a hot or buzzing panel, partial power loss with flickering, or water near electrical equipment are emergencies. If you see fire or smoke, leave and call 911. For downed lines, call 911 and your utility. Once safe, Elite Pro Services' 24/7 electricians can respond.

Question 5

What should I do while waiting for emergency AC service in summer?

Accepted Answer

Close blinds and curtains, avoid using the oven, run ceiling fans, drink water, and move to the coolest room. Check on older adults, children, and pets. Consider a cooling center if the home gets too hot. Turn the AC off if it is iced or making unusual noises. Elite Pro Services is open 24/7.

Question 6

Can I get a plumber in the middle of the night in Gilbert?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Elite Pro Services is based in Gilbert at 170 S William Dillard Dr STE 106 and is open 24/7 for plumbing emergencies such as burst pipes, leaking water heaters, and sewer backups. Call (480) 788-7473 any time of day or night.

Question 7

What should I do if I smell gas?

Accepted Answer

Leave the building immediately, avoid using light switches, phones, or anything that could spark inside, and call your gas utility or 911 from a safe distance outside. Do not try to find or fix the leak yourself. After the utility clears the area, Elite Pro Services can inspect HVAC or water heater equipment.

Question 8

What should I do if my water heater bursts?

Accepted Answer

Shut off the cold water supply to the heater, turn off power at the breaker for electric heaters or set gas units to off, and keep people away from standing water near electrical outlets. Move valuables and document the damage for insurance. Elite Pro Services is open 24/7 at (480) 788-PIPE.

Question 9

What should I do if my sewer backs up into the house?

Accepted Answer

Stop using water in the home, keep children and pets away from contaminated water, and avoid contact with sewage. Turn off electrical power to wet areas only if it is safe. A plumber needs to clear the main line. Elite Pro Services can respond 24/7 to clear sewer backups.

Question 10

Is no AC an emergency for elderly family members?

Accepted Answer

Yes, high indoor temperatures can quickly become dangerous for older adults, infants, and people with health conditions. Move them to a cool place, provide water, and watch for signs of heat illness such as confusion or dizziness; call 911 if symptoms appear. Elite Pro Services is open 24/7 for AC emergencies.

Question 11

What information should I give when calling for emergency service?

Accepted Answer

Share your address, a callback number, what is happening, when it started, and whether there is active water, smoke, or a safety concern. Mention gate codes, pets, or access details. This helps the technician arrive prepared. Elite Pro Services answers 24/7 at (480) 788-7473.

Question 12

Do emergency service calls cost more?

Accepted Answer

Many contractors price after-hours, weekend, or holiday calls differently than regular business hours. Ask about any after-hours rates when you call so there are no surprises. Elite Pro Services is open 24/7 and can explain how emergency service is priced for your situation.

Question 13

What should I do if my AC breaker trips and won't reset?

Accepted Answer

Do not keep resetting it. A breaker that will not hold can point to a short, a failing compressor, or a wiring problem that creates a fire risk. Leave the system off. Elite Pro Services' licensed HVAC and electrical technicians are available 24/7 to diagnose the cause.

Question 14

What should I do if water is leaking through my ceiling?

Accepted Answer

Turn off the water supply if you suspect a plumbing leak, or shut off the AC if the leak is below an attic air handler. Stay away from light fixtures or outlets near the water and turn off power to that area if safe. Place buckets and towels. Elite Pro Services is open 24/7.

Question 15

What should I do if my carbon monoxide alarm goes off?

Accepted Answer

Get everyone, including pets, outside to fresh air right away and call 911 from outside. Do not go back in until responders say it is safe. Elite Pro Services is open 24/7 for that follow-up inspection.

Question 16

What should I do if someone gets an electrical shock at home?

Accepted Answer

Do not touch the person if they may still be in contact with the power source. Turn off power at the breaker or main if you can do so safely, then call 911. Even a shock that seems minor can warrant medical evaluation. Keep everyone away from the outlet, cord, or appliance involved. Afterward, Elite Pro Services' 24/7 licensed electricians can find and fix the cause.

Question 17

What should I do if my AC drain overflow switch shuts the system off?

Accepted Answer

Many systems have a float switch that turns cooling off when the condensate drain backs up, preventing water damage. If the AC stops and you see water in the drain pan, leave the system off and avoid touching electrical parts. A technician needs to clear the drain line and check the pan. Elite Pro Services is open 24/7 to get cooling restored.

Question 18

Who do I call if my AC fails on a weekend or holiday?

Accepted Answer

Elite Pro Services is open 24/7, including weekends and holidays, for residential and commercial AC problems across the East Valley and Phoenix metro. Call (480) 788-7473. In the meantime, close blinds, use fans, and keep vulnerable family members in the coolest area.

Question 19

Should I turn off my water heater during a leak?

Accepted Answer

Question 20

What should I do if my house loses power but neighbors have power?

Accepted Answer

Question 21

What should I do if my AC is making a loud grinding noise at night?

Accepted Answer

Question 22

Do I need an emergency plumber for a clogged toilet?

Accepted Answer

A single clogged toilet can often wait if you have another bathroom. It becomes urgent when the toilet keeps overflowing, sewage backs up in other drains, or it is the only toilet in the home. Turn off the toilet's water supply valve. Elite Pro Services is available 24/7 if you need help.

Question 23

What should I do if an outlet gets wet during a monsoon storm?
